Corporate Programs
Experience team building that is out of this world! Starting in the fall of 2006, the Challenger Learning Center at Paducah will offer unique corporate programs designed to promote teamwork, problem-solving, decision making and communication skills. By participating in an innovative simulated space mission, employees and employers will face the same challenges and problems encountered by astronauts in space. Choose from a variety of program options, including half-day and full-day programs. Costs vary.

Option 1
Corporate Outing Space Mission - Voyage to Mars™
Number of Participants: 14-30
Program Length: 2.5 hours
Cost: $30 / person
Fly to Mars in the year 2076 aboard the Mars Transport Vehicle. Replacing a crew of astronauts living on Mars, solving emergencies, building and launching a probe to a Martian moon, and analyzing Martian rocks and soils are just a few of the many activities that must be accomplished by using teamwork, communication and problem solving. A post-briefing session will include discussion of how to apply what's been learned to the working environment.
Option 2
Team Interactions and Space Mission- Voyage to Mars™
Number of Participants: 14-30
Program Length: 4 hours
Cost: $75 / person
Light refreshments included.
Spend two hours in the simulated mission to Mars as mentioned in Option 1, plus participate in an additional two hours of team building and communication activities leading up to the mission. Extra activities will be conducted by specialists in team building and development. Participants will learn the stages of team development and key components to building a successful team. Information gained during the Team Training session will be used to enhance the effectiveness of the team on the Mars mission.
Option 3
Full-day program
Number of Participants: 14-30
Program Length: 6.5 hours
Cost: $125 / person
Light morning refreshments and lunch included.
Participants will have the oportunity to learn about their personal work style and that of those with whom they work. Information will be provided on sources of team conflict and how these may be adddressed to create a more powerful and effective team. These sessions will be conducted by a certified Behavioral Analyst.
After lunch, participants will fly the simulated space mission as a mentioned in Option 1 and will be able to immediately utilize what they learned about individual impact on team performance. After the mission a more intense post-briefing session will be held to discuss the teams performance.
